Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 15: Stick in the Mud

We’ve all been there. You’re sitting in your draft, and someone reaches for a defense way too early. Defenses are notoriously tricky to project year-over-year. Some of the best fantasy defenses of the last decade have turned in performances where they benefited from turnover luck one year and ran dry the next. When drafting, I treat the D/ST spot on my roster as a revolving door, and I’m specifically drafting for Week 1 or the first few weeks of the season.

As we work our way through the season, this article will serve as a place to identify streaming options. The only criterion is that the teams we discuss are rostered in less than 40% of leagues on Yahoo or ESPN.

Week 14 Recap

Tommy DeVito and the New York Giants gave up much more of a fight than I anticipated against the Packers. Luckily, we were saved a bit by Green Bay recovering three fumbles. They wound up in a tie for D/ST17 when all was said and done. Houston was even worse, with just one fumble recovery and no sacks or interceptions against a resurgent Zach Wilson-led Jets team. If you planned ahead and grabbed the Bears, they had a good showing, as they head into some cake matchups for the fantasy playoffs. We're still firmly in the D/ST10 range with our top picks, despite a tough showing in Week 14.
