9 Sleepers to Target in Sleeper Fantasy Football Leagues

Sleeper is one of the fastest-growing fantasy football platforms on the market, allowing users to fully customize leagues across multiple formats or join established leagues with various league settings. This gives users immense freedom to cater their fantasy football experience to their liking, but it also creates a difficult situation for finding potentially undervalued players as the varying league settings will influence archetypal analysis. As such, we’ll examine players positioned well to significantly outperform their average draft position (ADP) across multiple formats, while using point per reception (PPR) ADP as the baseline in this article. Target these nine sleepers throughout multiple formats in Sleeper fantasy football leagues.

Cooper Kupp, WR – Rams (Sleeper ADP: WR20, 40 overall)

The big question that only the season will answer for the former triple-crown-winning wide receiver is whether his declining efficiency metrics over the previous two seasons were attributable to health or age. Cooper Kupp led the league in targets, receptions, yards, and receiving touchdowns in 2021 before seeing his per-target efficiency metrics decline during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Here’s the thing though, Kupp struggled through multiple ankle injuries in 2022 before two preseason hamstring injuries forced a trip to the physically unable-to-perform list to start the 2023 season. Even with the injuries last year, Kupp went over 100 yards through the air or scored a touchdown in six of nine fully healthy games, accomplishing both together three times. In other words, Kupp returned a legitimate spike week in fantasy at a 33% frequency in fully healthy games, a rate that only a handful of wide receivers bested in 2023.

Only time will tell if he reverses the recent trend of diminishing efficiency metrics and whether that decline was due to health or age, but a WR20 valuation at No. 40 overall on Sleeper provides plenty of leeway for fantasy purposes to make that leveraged bet.
