Week 14 IDP Waiver Wire: Pickups & Targets

We're approaching the end of the fantasy football regular season, and if you're still here, hoping to find a diamond in the rough on the waiver wire, you at least have a fighting chance in your league. You love to see that. Don't lose focus now; keep your eye on the prize, and let's find a potential league winner or two here this week.

Bye weeks are going to hit hard in Week 14, with the Ravens, Broncos, Texans, Colts, Patriots, and Commanders all on bye.

This is a weekly reminder that some of you play in leagues where all of the listed players are already owned, while some of you play in IDP leagues where only a few IDP players are rostered overall, so the players listed below might not even be on your radar. If you need specific help, please don't hesitate to reach out. You can jump into our subscriber Discord, find the IDP channel, and tag me with any league-specific questions you may have. Start/Sit questions can likely be answered by using my rankings, which are first posted on Tuesday evening and updated daily as we approach game day.

Week 14 IDP Waiver Wire

This week, we're going to approach things a bit differently. I believe a Drop List would be beneficial at this stage, as we're entering the final stretch and every roster spot matters. Therefore, unless you're in a very deep IDP league, these players are unlikely to have much, if any, IDP value moving forward.

Drops

Dorian Williams (Buffalo Bills)

Matt Milano returned to the lineup in Week 13, and Dorian Williams, who's 19th in the league in total tackles and averaging 11.5 fantasy points per week according to FantasyPros scoring, didn't see the field. Barring an injury to Milano or Terrel Bernard, that's unlikely to change moving forward.

Trenton Simpson (Baltimore Ravens)

Trenton Simpson has failed to top a 50% snap share in consecutive weeks and played as Baltimore's LB4, behind Chris Board and Malik Harrison, against the Eagles. With the Ravens on bye in Week 14, there's no need to hold on to Simpson in hopes that he's viable in Week 15 and beyond.

Malcolm Rodriguez (Detroit Lions)

The opportunity to take on a larger role after Alex Anzalone went down was short-lived for Malcolm Rodriguez, whose season ended on Thanksgiving after blowing out his knee. The rotation behind Jack Campbell is a bit messy right now, and it's unlikely that any of Ezekiel Turner, Trevor Nowaske, David Long Jr., or Kwon Alexander will be worthy of an IDP start in December.

Azeez Al-Shaair (Houston Texans)

The Texans are on bye in Week 14, and news broke early Tuesday morning that Azeez Al-Shaair will be suspended for three games for his unnecessary flying forearm to a sliding Trevor Lawrence in the first half of Week 13's meeting. That puts him on track to return in Week 18, which is not helpful for those who roster him in fantasy.

Dexter Lawrence (New York Giants)

A bright star on an otherwise dull roster, Dexter Lawrence's season likely came to an end in Week 13 after suffering an elbow injury that should cost him multiple weeks. With the Giants battling for the top spot in April's NFL Draft, there's no need to rush Lawrence back at this point. This is a devastating late-season injury if your league requires defensive tackles, with Lawrence 1.2 points behind Cameron Heyward and Kobie Turner as the top fantasy producers this season.
