Fantasy Football Kicker Streaming Week 2: Nothing Scary at this Bates Motel
Despite the anti-kicker sentiment that engulfs the fantasy football community, 4for4 remains kicker-friendly, and I’m here to provide a safe space for those who still play in leagues that utilize the position. In fact, using a kicker to your advantage is a great way to get a leg up on your opponents and gain potential weekly league-winning points.
In order to provide advice you can actually implement, candidates for streaming must be rostered in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues. As always, check 4for4’s rankings and our signature Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) metric when making weekly decisions on any position.

Week 1 was a fairly decent start for the stream, as four of my six recommendations were among the Top 10 kickers in fantasy points. Blake Grupe led the charge as K3 with 21 points followed by Chase McLaughlin as K6 with 15. Cairo Santos checked in tied for K7 honors by posting 12 fantasy points and Jason Myers rounded out the top 10 with 10 points on the board.
Jake Bates and Joshua Karty both scored eight fantasy points and tied for the K17 spot.

Jake Bates (DET) vs. Buccaneers
Coming off a perfect outing where he went 2-for-2 on field goals and converted both extra-point attempts, Jake Bates is set up for a solid performance in Week 2. The Lions boast the highest team total of the week (29) and are favored by a touchdown at home against the Buccaneers.
Bates is rostered in 16% of Yahoo leagues heading into this weekend.
