9 Fantasy Football Stash Candidates Ahead of Week 7
The hits just keep on coming in 2024 in the injury department. Players visiting the blue medical tent in Sunday's first set of games alone were brutal, leaving many a goose egg around the fantasy football landscape.
Managers will likely be trying to fill holes and grab the next man up, but we need to be smart about who we pick up at this stage of the season. Thankfully, there are only two teams on byes this week which may limit adds, but here are some players to grab and stash this week for what’s ahead.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR - Chiefs (33% rostered)
To most, JuJu Smith-Schuster is more stash adjacent and an actual waiver target considering the 7-130-0 line posted in his first game with Rashee Rice, but I just can't trust the eight-year veteran. His big game happened before the Chiefs bye so many may have forgotten which is why his rostership is still this low, but he is worth adding this week if there.
Kansas City is the same offense that Smith-Schuster caught 78 balls for 903 yards and three touchdowns in just two years ago and while he won’t completely take over for Rice, the 27-year-old should have some flex games or maybe even WR3 production as long as Patrick Mahomes continues to look his way.
