Rams vs. Bengals Super Bowl Injury Report: Who's Playing on Sunday?
Despite 20 weeks of football, and the bumps and bruises that come along with it, it appears both teams will be very close to full strength for the Super Bowl. Thursday and Friday saw players upgraded for both teams with Tyler Higbee appearing to be the only player that would be unable to overcome an injury and compete on Sunday.
Cincinnati's top tight end, C.J. Uzomah, was a full go on Friday after some limited work Thursday and not participating on Wednesday.
Final Super Bowl 56 Injury Report
Los Angeles Rams Injuries
The Rams will not have any players with an injury designation heading into the game. They did place tight end Tyler Higbee and offensive lineman Joe Noteboom on injured reserve. Noteboom was able to practice some late in the week but a chest injury will keep him out of the game. Higbee was injured in the NFC Championship game. The Rams saw a half dozen other players, including running back Cam Akers and wide receiver Van Jefferson, cleared for action after making the injury report during the week. Darrell Henderson Jr. was also activated off of the injured reserve and will play a role in the team's backfield Sunday.
Cincinnati Bengals Injuries
C.J. Uzomah is the only player currently listed on the Bengals' final injury report heading into the Super Bowl. He was injured early on in the AFC Championship game, being carted off with what appeared at the time to be a serious knee injury. Luckily for Cincinnati, it turned out to just be an MCL sprain and their starting tight end will be able to go after having the extra week to rehab the injury.
Signs quickly pointed towards him playing after he ripped off his knee brace to energize the crowd at a rally on Monday.
