Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.

Giants sign QB Jameis Winston

Veteran QB Jameis Winston is signing with the Giants, per source.

The team remains open to adding another QB through free agency or the draft, and Winston’s deal — two years, $8 million — doesn’t preclude them from making additional QB moves.

Fantasy Impact:

As the report says, this doesn't mean they'll be ignoring the QB position at the top of the NFL Draft, but it gives them a little more insurance at the position, and, hey, it brings some more excitement, too. Winston would be a much larger net positive to the receiving group over DeVito, if they need either to make some 2025 starts.

Chargers sign TE Tyler Conklin to one-year deal

Former Jets TE Tyler Conklin reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Chargers.

Fantasy Impact:

While it's certainly not a bad situation to land in, the Chargers will very likely use plenty of 2-TE sets, and it's not out of the question that they add some more talent through the Draft. Conklin projects as someone we can ignore in typical redraft leagues but he may be someone to keep in eye out for streaming purposes in a pinch.

WR Brandin Cooks to return to the Saints

A reunion in New Orleans: 11-year veteran WR Brandin Cooks is headed back to the Saints.

Cooks returns to the franchise that drafted him in the first round in 2014.

Fantasy Impact:

Cooks brings some speed to New Orleans, but it's very unlikely that he's an every-down player at this point in his career. The vet hasn't hit 700 receiving yards since the 2021 season, in his second year with the Texans.
