Immediately after taking the NFL concussion protocol-mandated ImPACT cognitive test Tuesday morning, Ben Roethlisberger believed he “aced” it.
Turns out, the results led to a diagnosis of a concussion for the Steelers' star quarterback.
Roethlisberger will remain in the NFL's concussion protocol this week after self-reporting symptoms and removing himself from Sunday's loss at Seattle before the final offensive drive.
On his weekly radio show Roethlisberger said he's been told he does not have a “brain injury” — that he's been diagnosed as suffering from “a traumatic ocular migraine.” About an hour later, Tomlin said during his weekly press conference that Roethlisberger “experienced what is described as a concussion.”
