Bengals running back Cedric Benson said after the game that he hopes to be ready for next Sunday’s game at Oakland.
Despite leaving in the second quarter, he was happy to see Bernard Scott have success.
“I’m happy for him that he was able to get out there and play,” Benson said. “You kind of hate to see it happen due to injury but he was able to go out there and do well.”
Benson, the Bengals' rushing leader, was pulled during the second quarter with a hip injury, returned for one series, then left the game.
After the break, the Bengals announced he was not expected to return. Benson finished with 22 yards on seven carries.
