Four months after marijuana was delivered to Jerome Simpson’s home, the Bengals wide receiver was indicted on a drug charge Thursday in Kenton County.
Simpson was indicted on one count of trafficking marijuana in excess of eight ounces. Prosecutors have requested Simpson be served a summons to appear in Kenton Circuit Court. His arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 30. The charge is punishable by one to five years in prison.
Fantasy Impact:
This certainly puts a damper on Simpson's long-term (and short-term) fantasy prospects. We'll have to let the legal process run its course to know the real implications. Simpson's 2012 season is certainly in doubt.
