Matthews returned to practice today, but head coach Sean McDermott wasn't pleased with the number of reps he took. Matthews underwent thumb surgery weeks ago and hasn't been a fully active member of the Bills' WR corps since Week 3.
If Matthews were to return to the field this week it would be a boost to Tyrod Taylor and fantasy owners. Bills WRs have the best matchup of the week versus the Bucs, according to our aFPA metric. However, we don't trust any Bills WR to take advantage of it. Our highest ranked Bills wideout, Zay Jones, comes is our No. 68 WR in standard leagues and No. 70 WR in PPR leagues. Matthews would rank higher than Jones, but his injury status makes him hard to fully trust.
