The Bills are releasing RB LeSean McCoy, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
This goes as one of the first major surprise cuts of the season, as McCoy had been running well this preseason and came off a performance in Week 3 of the preseason where he rushed six times and played 14 snaps. This at least means, for fantasy purposes, Buffalo's backfield is not as muddied as before, with just Frank Gore and rookie Devin Singletary as the main acts. And Singletary has been very impressive so far. McCoy ends his Bills run after four years and is in the top 25 on the all-time NFL rushing yardage board with 10,606 career yards. He should latch on somewhere else. Singletary's impressive play made McCoy more expendable and Gore will act as the savvy veteran that will always rise up.
