Bradley: Gerhart has 'ability to play all 3 downs'

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley went into some detail Tuesday about how much work newly signed running back Toby Gerhart could receive in 2014. And from the sound of it, Gerhart could get a good deal of the reps.

“He has the ability to play all three downs,” Bradley said Tuesday, according to a transcript from the Pro Football Writers of America. “How many carries he gets — we would like to run the ball over 40 percent of the time. There might be 28-30 carries in a game and there aren’t more running backs that carry more than 20 times a game."

Fantasy Impact:

Gerhart continues to get high praise after signing with the Jags. He has the potential to be a solid RB2 option this fall. Bradley's comments fall in line with what we expect, anywhere from 15-20 carries a game. In limited games, Gerhart has excelled with a big workload.
