Browns go back to Johnny Manziel

The Punishment is over in Cleveland.

After Austin Davis and the Browns tanked in a miserable 37-3 home loss to the Bengals on Sunday, it re-opened the door for Johnny Manziel to come back and play. The team will again turn to the second-year quarterback to take the reins as its starter in a Week 14 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, via a source informed of the decision.

It makes sense given that the worst result from this experiment would be the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact:

The story believes someone from the executive office made this decision above HC Mike Pettine. If the entire organization was really against playing Manziel he could have just been cut as plenty of great teams and great coaches have not been afraid to cut high, troubled picks if the circumstances call for it, the story added. From a fantasy perspective, Manziel played his best game before he got into bye week trouble.
