The Browns suffered another huge blow Wednesday when first-round pick Corey Coleman broke his hand in practice, a league source told cleveland.com.
He broke the hand when he caught a pass and someone came down on the hand. Practice is only open to the media for the first 20 minutes and it happened after that.
It's not yet known how bad the break is or how long he'll be out. The Browns declined to confirm the report.
He underwent X-rays after practice, which confirmed the break.
It looks like Coleman will miss Week 3, at least. It's shaping up to be a very ugly offense that the Browns will field against the Dolphins on Sunday. They'll try to go run heavy with Isaiah Crowell (and Duke Johnson?) while keeping things simple for QB Cody Kessler. Terrelle Pryor will be a Sneaky Start in deeper formats with Gary Barnidge also getting a bump. But this is shaping up to be a dumpster fire best avoided, if possible.
