Turns out WR Antonio Bryant missed practice with a minor knee injury.
Bryant "banged my knee" during Saturday's late practice and returned for Sunday's workout. But the injury was swollen this morning and the team decided it was best to give him some rest.
Bryant said it's the same knee he had trouble with last season, when fluid had to be drained from the joint. But this is not a recurrence of the same injury.
"I just banged my knee picking a fumble up off the ground," Bryant said.
Coach Raheem Morris called Bryant's status day to day. Morris described TE Kellen Winslow's ankle injury the same way. Winslow suffered the injury in this morning's practice and will be examined further through the day. But the initial indications were that it is not a serious injury.
