On Monday, Cardinals HC Whisenhunt voiced optimism, partly because all of the Cardinals' offensive "horses" were expected to play in the season opener Sunday against the 49ers.
But Pro Bowl WR Anquan Boldin hasn't practiced this week after missing the final two preseason games because of a right-hamstring injury. Steve Breaston, the No. 3 receiver, missed two preseason games because of a knee injury and admits he isn't 100%.
Larry Fitzgerald is healthy, and Whisenhunt believes the odds of Boldin playing Sunday are "very good." But it's questionable how effective he might be with so little practice.
With Breaston less than healthy, Jerheme Urban and Lance Long could see more playing time than usual.
"I'm not close to 100%, but I'm out here running," Breaston said after Wednesday's practice. "I'm making it work, so I'm good.
"(Wednesday) I felt real good. It's going to be sore, but I've got to play through it."
