Melvin Gordon plans on making the decision regarding his availability on Sunday a tough one for the San Diego Chargers.
"My expectation is to get out there, so that's what we're aiming for right now," Gordon said.
The Wisconsin product missed the past two games with a strained hip and sprained left knee. Gordon wore a helmet and bulky brace on his left knee on Tuesday as he worked with trainers on the field during the early portion of practice.

The Chargers are not required to release an injury report updating Gordon's status until Wednesday. Gordon is three yards shy of reaching 1,000 rushing yards for the first time in his NFL career, and wants to reach the milestone badly. However, Chargers head coach Mike McCoy said the team will make sure Gordon is fully healthy before putting him out on the field and risking a more significant injury heading into the offseason.
