CHI RB Matt Forte to get 60-70-percent of touches?

Columnist Dan Pompei's thinks RB Matt Forte's problems were due to a combination of things, blocking and he had his knee scoped.

So that may have had something to do with his performance as well. He also did not seem to be playing with much confidence, or at least not as much confidence as he had as a rookie. Pompei anticipates Forte getting 60 to 70 percent of the running back touches -- as long as he's playing at least as well as he did in 2008.

If he runs like he did last year, a door is going to be open wide for RB Chester Taylor to burst through. Whereas the Bears really did not have another good option to the slumping Forte last year, they have one this year.

Fantasy Impact:

Forte was a top-5 pick last year, but for the most part was a disappointing fantasy player for where he was taken. Decisions will have to be made in keeper leagues and RB rankings this summer. But, it seems like if you want Forte, or plan to keep him, getting Taylor as a compliment could be a must.
