Jets WR Corey Davis feels like he and rookie QB Zack Wilson are connecting as training camp goes on according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. “I feel like it’s definitely getting there,” Davis said. "...Zach is a lot more comfortable in the pocket, delivering the ball really accurately. My part, I’m getting open, creating a lot more space for him to make it easy. We’re definitely getting there.”
No need to go overboard with excitement about the connection being established but Wilson's comfort targeting Davis shows positivity for both. Davis was brought in to be a WR1 for the rookie and has taken to the role. It also shows that Davis has not let his walk year be the high bar for what he accomplishes. There should be a lot of growing pains for the Jets offense but an established chemistry between these two is a good start.
