Marion Barber (calf) took part in a limited part of Wednesday’s practice. It was his first work since straining his left calf on Thanksgiving against New Orleans.
It did not sound as if interim coach Jason Garrett was ready to commit to Barber to Sunday’s game vs. Washington.
“He’s been making progress,” Garrett said. “There’s clearly a difference between that kind of progress and being able to play in a ballgame. It’s important for him to be able to go out there and start to practice and see if he is able to start moving toward playing in a game.”
Felix Jones would again get a bulk of the work with Tashard Choice backing him up. The Eagles never really let the Cowboys get on track on the ground last week but the Redskins defense is really struggling to stop anyone these days.
