According to Tanner Reed of The Athletic, Las Vegas Raiders superstar tight end Darren Waller is expected to be ready for the regular season.
Waller has been sidelined since August 2nd with an ankle injury but is expected to be ready for the Raiders regular season opener. Both the coaching staff and quarterback Derek Carr do not appear to be too concerned with the prolific tight end missing time, largely due to the pre-existing rapport the quarterback and tight end have proven on the field. Waller's absence has allowed Carr to gain more trust in his other weapons, namely, Henry Ruggs, Bryan Edwards, and Foster Moreau. Fantasy managers should proceed as normal as far as it pertains to targeting Waller in fantasy drafts. Waller is currently ranked as our TE2 for the season.
