Former Houston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman has been claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
Foreman was a surprise cut by the Texans over the weekend, but had shown poor work habits and Texans' coach Bill O'Brien was not happy with what he had been seeing out of Foreman. Him being claimed by the Colts means about three-quarters of the league did not submit a claim on Foreman, as the current waiver order is the order from the 2019 NFL Draft, not including trades, meaning the Colts sat 26th on the board. Foreman now joins a backfield that is already crowded with Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins. Foreman will have to improve his overall body of work if he is to impress head coach Frank Reich and carve out a role in the Colts' offense.
