Sources: The #Falcons are trading All-Pro WR Julio Jones to the #Titans in exchange for at least a 2nd round pick. A blockbuster for Tennessee, who now gets the coveted big-play threat. And Atlanta ends up with very nice value.
The Titans attempted 485 passes last season and 448 the year before, so this has not been a high-volume offense. It's been highly efficient, however, and supported last year's No. 12 WR (A.J. Brown in 14 games) and No. 31 WR (Corey Davis in 14 games). On a per game basis Brown was the No. 6 WR and Davis was the No. 30 WR. Jones is a significant upgrade over Davis, though his arrival puts a damper on Brown's top 5 status and on any budding sleeper value for Josh Reynolds. It's a huge boon for Ryan Tannehill, who now has a better set of weapons than he had last year, when he finished as the No. 7 QB. Projections will be updated later today.
