Vikings QB Brett Favre is poised to break the ironman mark next Sunday at Arizona and, after having a partially torn biceps bother him for much of last season with the Jets, he's enjoying being healthy this time around.
"I would love to sit here and tell you that I probably should be icing it and things like that after games," Favre said. "I probably shouldn't have thrown four days after I had surgery [in May], which was a mistake because it set me back a little bit. But I have been pretty fortunate. Last year I was not very fortunate. It bothered me the whole season. I actually did a little stretching before the game. I do that every once in a blue moon. It's been probably three weeks since I have done it."
Favre completed five or more passes to five different receivers, the first time that has been done in a single game in Vikings history and also the first time he has done it in his 19-plus seasons.
