Rumor moved a step closer to reality on Tuesday, when ESPN reported Favre and Vikings coach Brad Childress will meet this week to discuss the possibility of the legendary QB coming out of retirement a 2nd time to play a 19th NFL season in Minnesota. Just like last year, Minnesota is believed to be Favre's preferred destination if he decides to play again - something he has denied he'll do in the week since he was granted his release by the Jets, most recently in a one-word text message to ESPN on Monday. Unlike last year, when months of tension with the Packers culminated with a controversial August trade of the legendary QB to the Jets, Favre is a free agent and can choose his destination. Citing a source "with direct knowledge of discussions between the two parties," ESPN reported the meeting will take place at an undisclosed location, with the understanding that Favre will decide soon after whether to play for Minnesota.
