Vikings coach Brad Childress said Brett Favre will likely play one half next Monday night against the Houston Texans.
Childress said he isn’t sure how much Favre will play in the final preseason game. Typically, starters play very little, if at all, in the final preseason game, but Favre is behind after missing the first two weeks of training camp.
Childress didn’t reveal much news in his press conference today. However, he did say it’s possible that the team could keep four quarterbacks this season.
“Perhaps,” he said. “There’s certainly a scenario where that could happen.”
Childress didn’t indicate how soon they might make a decision.
