Frank Gore expects to be 'all right'

Running back frank Gore insisted Friday his bruised ribs will be "all right" after playing Thursday night through the most pain of his 109-game career.

"The X-ray was looking good, and I'll take it one day at a time," Gore said.

Aiding Gore's recovery will be an extended break until the 49ers' next game, which will be Oct.29 at the Arizona Cardinals on "Monday Night Football."

Fantasy Impact:

Gore ran for 131 yards on 16 carries, but took a hit on one of his five receptions with six minutes to go before the half. But, Gore would carry 10 times in the second half for 92 yards. He never told the staff about his injury and also struggled to catch his breath on long runs. He was eventually relieved by Kendall Hunter. The extra rest will do Gore well and seems like a go for Week 8 against the Cardinals. Hunter could prove to be a valuable handcuff for Gore owners, however.
