Giants to stick with QB Eli Manning

Quarterback Eli Manning will start for the New York Giants against the San Francisco 49ers next Monday night, coach Pat Shurmur announced Tuesday.

Shurmur said he discussed with Manning the need to play better and also expressed that to the entire team.

Fantasy Impact: 

Before the team's bye, Shurmur had said "we'll see" when asked if Manning would keep his starting job. The Giants are 1-7 and average 18.8 points per game, which is 27th in the NFL. Manning has been sacked a league-high 31 times.

Shurmur also said Tuesday that he will not suspend backup quarterback Lauletta for his arrest last week.
