Giants will stick with QB Drew Lock, if healthy

The Giants aren’t planning to make another quarterback change this week, but they’ll have to wait for word on Drew Lock’s health before they know for sure.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said at his Monday press conference that Lock is sore and dealing with a couple of things after Sunday’s 14-11 loss to the Saints.

Fantasy Impact:

Daboll said Lock is having an MRI to rule out any structural issues, but he did not specify what part of the body is being looked at, the story said.

Jets sign WR Josh Reynolds to one-year deal

The Jets are signing FA WR Josh Reynolds today, sources say, and he gets a 1-year deal worth up to $5M.

Reynolds played for the Broncos last year, and GM Darren Mougey is more than familiar. Also recently spent time with the Jaguars, Lions and Titans.

Fantasy Impact:

Not much fantasy value hiding here, though it is a nice depth piece for Justin Fields or a prospective rookie signal caller.

Patriots sign WR Stefon Diggs to three-year deal

Free-agent WR Stefon Diggs reached agreement on a three-year, $69 million deal including $26 million guaranteed with the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Impact:

This is an incredible injection of talent to what is arguably the worst WR room in the NFL. Diggs should be immediately considered somewhere in the WR3 range, with (hopefully) more weapons for Drake Maye coming in the next month.

Giants to sign QB Russell Wilson to one-year deal

The Giants and Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson reached agreement today on a one-year deal worth up to $21 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed.
The 10-time Pro-Bowl selection had been in discussions with the Giants, Browns, and Steelers, but is opting for New York, where Wilson won Super Bowl XLVIII in MetLife Stadium. Now, Wilson is returning there as the Giants’ projected starting QB.

Fantasy Impact:

We would have loved to see Winston airing it out to Malik Nabers, but the Giants have made a stand to bring Wilson on board. We'll have to see if they still make a move for a first-round option during the NFL Draft, but as it stands, no Giants QB is worth redraft consideration.
