In yet another position battle, Jacoby Jones has been going head-to-head with Kevin Walter for the Texans’ No. 2 wide receiver spot opposite Pro Bowler Andre Johnson.
Kubiak considers Jones to be the team’s No. 3 receiver at this point, with an important qualifier.
“He’s been competing with Kevin and has been very competitive, but they’ve both done their job, and I think we have three starters, in my opinion,” Kubiak said. “They’re going to be on the field plenty. It’s been a good competition.”
Here at 4for4, we like Jones much better. He's rated 48th with an ADP of the 16th round. Meanwhile, Walter is rated 60th with an ADP of the 19th. We're thinking even if Jones doesn't get the job to start the season, it's only a matter of time before he's the WR2. He's a great, late-round value on the highly-rated passing offense of Houston and gives Matt Schaub a nice red zone target.
