Jaguars put TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core) on IR

Head coach Doug Marrone confirmed on Monday that tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins is going on injured reserve.

Seferian-Jenkins has been on the injury report because of a core muscle injury recently and Marrone said he needs surgery.

Related players: James O'Shaughnessy, Niles Paul.

Fantasy Impact:

Marrone said that the hope is that Seferian-Jenkins will be able to return at some point this season, but will have to miss at least eight games. O'Shaughnessy and Paul are the other tight ends currently on the roster. Paul caught seven passes for 65 yards against the Chiefs.
