The Jets got an injury scare early in the fourth quarter when quarterback Sam Darnold took a hard hit on a scramble and looked like he had re-injured his right shoulder.
Darnold got up slowly after the hit and unbuckled his chin strap with his left hand. The play came at the end of a possession, and Darnold did not miss any snaps, returning to the game on the next possession after a Chiefs touchdown. Following the game, both Darnold and coach Adam Gase said Darnold was fine but would be evaluated Monday. Darnold is playing with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder, an injury he suffered on Oct. 1 against the Broncos and caused him to miss two games, the story said.
