Sam Darnold remains optimistic that he’ll be able to play against the Cardinals despite an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder suffered in last week’s primetime loss to the Broncos. The Jets third-year quarterback was forced to briefly leave Gang Green’s latest loss after getting slammed to the turf on a sack on the second drive of the game.
Fantasy Impact:
Although Darnold returned and finished the game, he was in plenty of pain the next day. The third-year signal caller said Monday that his shoulder “keeps getting better every day,” but was noncommittal about his availability for practice on Wednesday, the story said.
