Usually it’s the team that loses the first meeting that is looking for redemption in the rematch.
In the Jets' case, however, they will be the ones looking to “redeem” themselves Sunday for their 29-15 regular-season win over the Indianapolis Colts.
“No question about it,” tackle Damien Woody said today about “unfinished business” in the wake of Sunday's 17-14 win over San Diego that lifted the Jets into the AFC Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium.
“Everyone said Peyton [Manning] didn’t play the whole game. But it was a competitive game, and now there are no excuses. Nothing can be said because everybody will have their top guns out there playing. This is our opportunity to show who the better team is and we’re going to embrace that opportunity and go out and try to get it done.”
