Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter, injured during Sunday's loss to the Texans, is being treated for a lacerated spleen and will remain in an area hospital overnight.
There were no immediate plans for a surgical procedure, however.
Hunter was injured in the first quarter when Texans safety Daniel Manning hit him on a pass play that resulted in an interception. The former University of Tennessee star returned to action, but later complained of stomach pains and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
"He came back in and played, and thought he was OK, but it got worse in the second half. That's why it's getting checked out,'' Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "He wasn't feeling good. ... We'll have more information later."
