Ben Standig of The Athletic D.C. is reporting there is less optimism of Redskins TE Jordan Reed making his season debut Sunday against the Cowboys.
Reed is apparently still dealing with complications from the concussion he suffered almost a month ago in the preseason. As Standig notes, there is still time before Sunday for things to change. But at this point, it's also just more of a health issue, rather than just a football issue for Reed. The Redskins would be wise to give Reed all the time he needs, especially after what Rob Gronkowski said about the number of concussions he believed he suffered throughout his career. Vernon Davis will continue to start if Reed cannot go, with Jeremy Sprinkle as the No. 2. We'll keep an eye on Reed Friday and throughout the weekend. Washington plays at 1:00 Sunday against Dallas.
