Lions sign QB Nate Sudfeld

The Lions have their new backup quarterback: Nate Sudfeld.

Sudfeld signed with the Lions today, after he was cut by the 49ers. The Lions also officially waived quarterback David Blough, who made the initial 53-man roster yesterday.

Fantasy Impact:

The team released Tim Boyle on Tuesday and now go a completely different direction for a backup to Goff. Goff did miss time with an injury last year and Boyle got the start. Obviously Goff and Sudfeld aren't getting a lot of love in typical redraft leagues, so deeper league and dynasty owners, take note.

Kittle returns to a great matchup against a Packers defense that ranks 26th in TE aFPA. He should be fired up as a high-end TE1 once again.

Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.
