Beat writer Jerry McDonald projects Darren Mcfadden to pass Justin Fargas as the Raiders' starting tailback by Week 1.
McFadden was "more often than not" Oakland's first-team back all spring. This could position D-Mac for 225-275 touches after he saw only 142 as an injury-plagued rookie. It would also give Michael Bush a better shot to secure the No. 2 spot on the depth chart because Fargas is clearly a weaker talent. McDonald says McFadden "ideally" will get 225 carries and 50+ catches.
