Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday morning that he won't bring rookie Nick Foles out of the bullpen for Monday night's game at the New Orleans Saints.
Still, sticking with Vick seems to be the logical move for Reid, who's clearly under intense pressure to win now in order to save his job. Asking a rookie who hasn't taken a regular-season snap to save the season is a long shot. And if there was ever a week the talented Eagles offense might have a breakout performance, it could be against a Saints defense on pace for a historically bad season.
The Eagles are 3-4, so it seems early to be pushing the panic button by handing the keys over to a rookie QB. Vick should benefit from a very nice matchup against the Saints, who are #31 in QB aFPA.
