Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has a concussion, coach Chip Kelly confirmed Monday, leaving the team with an even more uncertain situation at the most important position in football.
Foles' availability will be determined by the NFL's concussion protocol. He must pass tests to show he has returned to baseline cognitive function, then be cleared by an independent neurologist.
The Eagles wouldn't say who is starting next week and the way it stands right now, any of Michael Vick, Foles or Matt Barkley could get the call. We already had a report that Vick would play next week at less than 100-percent, which isn't a surprise given the struggles Foles had last week against the Cowboys. The Eagles play the Giants in Week 8.
