Nick O'Leary is the next man up at tight end for the Bills after starter and team-leading receiver Charles Clay suffered torn meniscus and sprained MCL in his left knee during the Bills' loss Oct. 8 to the Bengals, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Clay could miss six weeks, according to Schefter.
The story was mostly about O'Leary being a favorite Jameis Winton target at Florida State, as the Bills and Bucs face one another in Week 7. But when Clay went down, O'Leary was an instant factor in the Week 5 game, catching five balls for 54. For those in need of a TE, O'Leary could prove to be a key target for the Bills in their banged up passing game.
