Terrell Owens made the eye-popping play of the first two weeks of Buffalo Bills spring practice Friday.
The veteran receiver ran a streak down the right sideline in a seven-on-seven drill against second-year cornerback Reggie Corner. The pass from quarterback Trent Edwards looked like it was going to be about 15 yards overthrown, and Corner was side-by-side with Owens about 35 yards downfield. Then Owens turned on his speed and ran under the ball to make a seemingly effortless grab four or five strides past Corner. Even for an inconsequential spring practice, it was an impressive play.
"Oh my God, I was definitely surprised," Corner said. "I actually geared down like it was an overthrow but as you could see he put it in third gear. It was like, wow, he caught me off guard a little bit. He can move."
