Browns coach Eric Mangini told reporters on Wednesday that he'd met with his quarterbacks on Tuesday and told them who would be starting. But he has asked them not to announce his decision in order to keep the Vikings guessing before Sunday's regular season opener at Browns Stadium.
Anderson was asked by reporters if it was going to be difficult not to let the news out.
"No,'' he said, "because after this next two minutes are over I'm not going to be talking to you guys. It's pretty easy....Obviously, the rest of us have to go about our regular preparations and continue to do what we always do and just not talk to our families.''
By ''rest of us'' did he mean the non-starters? Most observers expect Brady Quinn to start,
but Quinn was even less forthcoming than Anderson.
