Vic Tafur of The Athletic is reporting the Raiders believe WR Antonio Brown "will return to Napa in a couple of days", as they have been in contact with the receiver and sending him different helmets.
Another chapter is written in what has become the most eye-catching story of training camp. As we noted yesterday, Brown is expected to have a meeting regarding his helmet grievance against the NFL and has threatened not to play football if he is not granted his wish to play with his preferred helmet. Brown is under no risk of penalty, as it's the team that is punished for helmet violations. With three weeks left in the preseason, there is still plenty of time for this story to boil over before the regular season begins, so perhaps it's not panic mode yet. We'll certainly continue to monitor this story as it develops.
