Raiders Notes: Schilens, McFadden, Gradkowski

A few post-practice notes as relayed by beat writer Steve Corkran:

• Coach Tom Cable said he’d have a better idea by next week of Chaz Schilens might be available for the season opener in Tennessee on Sept. 12.

• Cable said this year’s roster cut will be the most difficult since he arrived in 2007.

• It’s conceivable Richard Seymour, as well as RB Darren McFadden and Johnson, could all be held out of the 49ers game.

• Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski got some of his most extensive work in training camp, closing it out with a 40-yard post strike to Todd Watkins, who made a diving catch for a touchdown. Gradkowski ran the length of the field for a chest bump with Watkins after the play.

Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson officially Out for Week 12

Cowboys list TE Jake Ferguson as out for Sunday’s game vs. Washington due to his concussion.

Fantasy Impact:

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles WR DeVonta Smith officially Out for Week 12

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Related Players: A.J. Brown, Jahan Dotson, Johnny Wilson, Dallas Goedert

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
