Redskins say TE Jordan Reed on track for Week 1

Jay Gruden said TE Jordan Reed is on pace to be ready for the opener.

Fantasy Impact:

We all know the drill by now ... when Reed plays he's a TE1 option every week. But staying on the field has been his biggest issue. He's played 18 of a possible 32 games over the past two years and has missed 35 percent of his regular season games in his career.

This puts Schoonmaker more or less in TE streaming consideration, but there are far better options this week, which puts him low on the totem pole.

Eagles ruled out WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) for Sunday against the Rams.

Fantasy Impact:

It's a bit of a crapshoot as to who the "WR2" on the offense will be, but now that he's ruled out, Brown and Goedert should get a nice boost to their bottom line. That would lock Goedert into a no-doubt TE1 role in Week 12.
