If all goes according to coach Andy Reid's plan during practice this week, Michael Vick will make his first appearance as the Eagles' QB when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars in a preseason game at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday night.
Though Reid gave no solid commitment Saturday, he did say, "There's a chance. I want to see again how [Vick] does this week. Right now, that's the plan."
Vick signed with the Eagles on Aug. 13, but was not allowed to play in last Thursday's preseason game against Indianapolis under the provisions of his suspension from the league.
Instead, Vick has been working overtime with quarterbacks coach James Urban and OC Marty Mornhinweg. Reid has been impressed by Vick's steady improvement.
"He looks like, I'm talking the football side, it looks like he's in pretty good shape," Reid said. "You could tell he's done some running and some lifting.
"It looked like he started off a little rusty throwing the football, and as the week went on it looked like it smoothed out for him a little bit."
Vick's first appearance in an Eagles uniform is sure to stir a variety of emotions.
