The 49ers are reportedly making "healthy progress" in finalizing a long-term contract extension for star TE George Kittle.
Bolder reports suggest that Kittle and the 49ers have already agreed to the framework of a six-year extension to be announced on Friday. Kittle's extension should come as no surprise as the Iowa product has blossomed into one of the premier players in all of the NFL over his first three seasons in the league. Kittle combines excellent pass-catching ability with otherworldly blocking in the run game, making him an irreplaceable piece of Kyle Shanahan's diverse offensive scheme. Kittle is an elite TE1 for fantasy purposes and can be drafted in the second round.
