The Seattle Seahawks will face a tough test when they travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals in the teams' regular season finale next Sunday, and they may have to take on the 13-2 Cards without running back Marshawn Lynch, strong safety Kam Chancellor and left tackle Russell Okung.
All three missed Sunday's 23-17 loss to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, and it's looking increasingly likely that all three may miss next week's game as well.
In his regular Monday appearance on the "Brock and Salk" show on 710 ESPN radio, head coach Pete Carroll told hosts Mike Salk and Brock Huard that Lynch's recovery from abdominal surgery remains a day-to-day proposition.
Carroll said Lynch was in Seattle over the weekend, but didn't elaborate on a Sunday report from NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, who reported that Lynch was expected to return to Seattle sometime this week to continue rehabbing at the team's facility after working out with MMA trainer Tareq Azim, the story said. Azim told Rapoport he has provided the Seahawks with "regular updates on Lynch," whom he said is making strides toward returning after undergoing the first surgery of his career.
